To Tell the Truth Before It’s too Late. Hospice is Life, too 2005
Final report of the campaign
II Nationwide Campaign To Tell the Truth Before It’s too Late finished on 29th January 2006 in Częstochowa.
The campaign lasted from 8th October to 30th November 2005. 118 hospices participated., out of which 105 fulfilled conditions that were required to take advantage of the founds.
The conditions were: organising a Voices for Hospices concert on the 8th October, conducting a public debate, sending a short story about communicating the truth about terminal illness to the Hospice Foundation, organisers of the campaign.
The public fundraising for hospices lasted from 1st October to 30th December 2005.
The total amount raised ₤78 960 (473 764,10zl)
The local fundraising actions resulted in ₤5 333 (32 000,00zl), for the hospices own use.
The division of funds:
Medical starters – ₤1 666 (10 000zl) for each,
Nursing equipment - ₤33 333 (200 000zl) in total,
Trainings under the auspices of the National Hospice Priest – ₤3 892 (23 354,10zl). (It will be also financed by the TVP1 donation – ₤2 274 (13 645,00zl))
Hospices looking after children are supported financially - ₤84 (507,19zl) for each child
According to the Institute of Monitoring Media (IMM) there were 807 pieces of information about hospices in the period from the 1st October to the 30th November 2005.
The action was also promoted by billboards (250), citylights (254) and posters (20 000), spots in a cinema chain and information in 13 000 Lottery offices.
