Thousands of volunteers help the hospices in 40 Polish cities in a "Fields of hope" campaign. During the action, hundreds of thousands of daffodills are handed to the donators whose support is isdispensible for the hospices.
Although most hospices in Poland are paid for their services by the National Health Fund, they couldn't exist with the society's help. In most hospices charity acivities such as Fields of Hope provide one third of their income.
Fields of Hope charity campaign came to Poland from Scotland where it is organised by Marie Curie Cancer Care. Its aim is to collect money for local hospices, but also to educate local communities about the mission and needs of their hospices.
