Thousands of volunteers help the hospices in 40 Polish cities in a "Fields of hope" campaign. During the action, hundreds of thousands of daffodills are handed to the donators whose support is isdispensible for the hospices.

French-German journalists film Gdansk's hospice

A cooperation between Father Dutkiewicz Hospice in Gdansk and Gdansk Przerobka Penitentiary Institution is the fact that brought French-German ARTE television to Poland. Two journalists from Paris came to Gdansk to see how inmates help as hospice volunteers.

5th "Hospice is life, too" educational campaign

Over 100 hospices and palliative care units from Poland took part in the 5th nationwide “Hospice is Life, too” campaign organised by Hospice Foundation. On October 11th 2008 (Hospice and Palliative Care World Day) the hospices’ employees and volunteers organised a series of events called: “Let’s play for hospice”. These included concerts, sports events, happenings and meetings in hospices and schools.

"Humane death" - social campaign 14-03-2008

"Gazeta Wyborcza" and Fundacja Hospicyjna (The Hospice Foundation www.hospicja.pl) started the campaign "Humane death". The action is designed to improve the conditions for dying people in hospices and hospitals, as well as to promote volunteer work and get the readers familiar with the death matters.

IV educational campaign about hospice and palliative care in Poland

In 1983 during the Solidarity and Marshal Law in Gdansk the first home care hospice in Poland was created. This experience had helped to establish other hospices in Poland, based on the voluntary work of medical staff and volunteers. Although the Hospice Movement in Poland today counts around 200 different programs, there is still a lot to do in that regard in the society.

The Third Campaign for hospices has formally come to the end on 31th March 2007 in Warsaw. About 200 hospices representatives took part in Campaign and institutions interested in new project regarding the volunteer work development met at the Biology Department of University of Warsaw.
